INFORM (a member of the AUSTRIACARD HOLDINGS group) is implementing the remote identification and authentication of mobile phone numbers in the National Communication Registry (NCR) solution.

This new service is available to individuals over 65 years old, residents of islands, citizens living abroad, and persons with disabilities who are registered with the e-EFKA registry. The relevant platform provides secure and swift remote identification for cases where the process was previously unfeasible.

The use of this service does not require physical presence at local authorities or consulates and can be accessed from any device equipped with a microphone and camera. The identification can be completed in two ways: via an automated video call (Dynamic Selfie) or through a video conference. In the automated call, the user is guided by the application and completes the identification process independently, while in the case of video conferencing, the entire identification process is assisted by a trained agent provided by INFORM. It is important to note that registering the mobile phone number in the NCR is mandatory under the legal framework.

To implement this new service, INFORM has utilized the Digital Onboarding solution developed by the group. This solution offers an automated experience for remote identification and facial recognition, as well as verification of relevant identification documents. It is compliant with the EU eIDAS regulation and enhances the user experience through an improved User Experience (UX).
