The Athens Stock Exchange chooses the path of accumulation today (23/1), with investors engaging in selective positioning around the 14-year highs.

Specifically, in the fourth session of the week, the General Index rose slightly by +0.32% to 1,535.58 points, gaining about five points compared to Wednesday's close (1,530.68 points).

The arc of daily fluctuations extends five points (from 1,531.13 to 1,536.04 points), with the turnover of transactions ranging at 10 million in the first 15 minutes.

The banking index, which yesterday recorded its worst session since August, is trying to regain the positive sign, with the result that it is +0.31% and 1,393 points.The Piraeus share expands +1.57% and 4.327 euros, the Alpha share follows at +0.26% and 1.7225 euros, the Eurobank share trades +0.08% and 2.394 euros, while the Ethniki share is unchanged at 8.34 euros.The picture on the board

In the high capitalization index (+0.16% and 3,725 points), the share of ELVALHALKOR gains more than +1% and stands at 2.1 euros.The shares of OTE, PPC and Viohalco follow at around +1%, while Metlen's share gains around +0.5% and returns to 34 euros.On the flip side, controlled pressure is exerted on shares of Hellaktor, EVDAP, Aegean and Coca - Cola, which are limited by -0.4% to -0.7%.As for the mid-cap index (+0.18% and 2,455 points), Lavipharm shares soar +5.1% and climb to 0.83 euros, thanks to the new business deal with iNova.Intracom Holdings shares are also up +1.3%, with Dimand shares following at +0.8% and 8.1 euros.On the other hand, shares of Plastic Thrace lose 0.5%, due to the cancellation of the right to the interim dividend of EUR 0.06.
